How mePermit Works
Four Steps from Application to Approved Package
No separate software. No pre-loaded data entry. The system guides you through every requirement.
1
Register
Verify your DBPR roofing contractor license and create your mePermit account. License verification is required before any permit application begins.
2
Apply
Answer guided questions about your job — address, roof type, and the products you plan to install. The system checks the requirements and flags anything that needs attention before you submit.
3
Pay
A flat processing fee paid securely at finalization. No subscription, no monthly charge, no account minimum — pay per permit.
4
Compliant Permit Documents
Download your completed, stamped permit submittal — all forms, approvals, and supporting documents assembled and verified, ready to hand to the building department.

Why mePermit
Your Products Are Pre-Checked
The system confirms your roofing products are approved for your county before anything is submitted. If something doesn't qualify, you find out now — not after a trip back from the building department.
🔢
The Math Is Done For You
Enter your building's address and height. The system applies the prescriptive design pressures from Florida Building Code tables — the correct code values for your job, confirmed before you submit.
🏛️
First-Pass Approval
Products, pressures, and documents are all checked before anything leaves your hands. Building departments receive a complete, pre-validated package — no review comments, no rejected submittals, no second trips to the counter.
What the System Handles For You
You Fill In Your Job Details. We Do the Rest.
Product Approvals
The system checks that your roofing products are approved for your county. If something doesn't qualify, you find out before you submit — not after a rejection at the building department.
Code Prescriptive Design Pressures
Enter your building's address and height — the system looks up the required design pressures from Florida Building Code tables. These are prescriptive code values, the same numbers your building department references.
Document Checklist
The system tells you exactly what to upload for your roof type. Nothing is left to guess. Everything the building department needs is identified and confirmed before you finalize.
Package Assembly
When you're done, everything is compiled into one complete, stamped submittal. Download it and bring it to the building department — or deliver it directly through mePermit.
Standards-Driven — Not Product-Driven
Every Package Verified Against the Same Standards Your Inspector Uses
HVHZ / FBC
Florida Building Code
All modules enforce current FBC provisions. Code updates are incorporated into the system — not patched around.
MDC / FPA
Notice of Acceptance
Every product entry is verified against current Miami-Dade NOA records. An expired or wrong NOA is blocked before submittal — not flagged at the counter.
UL
Underwriters Laboratories
UL fire ratings required for HVHZ roofing assemblies are verified at the assembly level. Fire barrier compliance is enforced per system selection, not assumed.
ASCE 7
Wind Load Standard
Wind pressure calculations follow RAS 127-20, based on ASCE 7 — exposure category, mean roof height, and slope. Zone-by-zone compliance confirmed before submittal.
